Qualification
- College credits preferred
- Experience in school age care and/or degree in related field
- Good communication skills-both oral and written
- Demonstrates ability to implement policies and procedures and respect confidentiality
Primary Objective:
- To manage and supervise the activities of children and to ensure that the established policies and procedures of the Adventure Club School Age Care program are followed.
Major Areas of Accountability:
- Plan and facilitate a recreational and educational program that meets the needs of the children
- Assist staff with daily program activities
- Assist Program Coordinator with hiring, training and staff orientation.
- Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures related to the overall operation and improvement of the Adventure Club Program
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, colleagues, and direct supervisor.
- Maintain effective communication with families and the community.
- Assist with purchasing and maintaining a monthly budget.
- Confer with families on behavior, health and general development of children.
- Establish a positive and professional relationship with the building principal, and other building personnel.
