**This position is for Custodian (Substitute Pool) for Webster Groves School District with varying shifts.**

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Requirements:

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Skills in the use of equipment used in routine cleaning.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedure.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuüm floors; empty/clean wastebasket and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
• Assist with stripping, cleaning, buffing and applying floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuüm and shampoo carpets.
• Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Assist with locking and unlocking assigned buildings: secure building when facilities are not in use.
