Qualification

  • College credits preferred
  • Experience in school age care and/or degree in related field
  • Management and supervisor experience preferred
  • Good communication skills-both oral and written
  • Demonstrates ability to supervise staff and implement policies and procedures, and respect confidentiality

 

Primary Objective:

 

  • To manage and supervise the activities of children and to ensure that the established policies and procedures of the Adventure Club School Age Care program are followed.

 

 

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Plan and facilitate a recreational and educational program that meets the needs of the children
  • Supervise and assist staff with daily program activities
  • Assist Program Coordinator with hiring, training and staff orientation.
  • Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures related to the overall operation and improvement of the Adventure Club Program
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, colleagues, and direct supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records; staff schedules, safety drills, time-clock logs, attendance, and sign-in/out forms etc.
  • Maintain effective communication with families and the community.
  • Assist with purchasing and maintaining a monthly budget.
  • Confer with families on behavior, health and general development of children.
  • Establish a positive and professional relationship with the building principal, and other building personnel.
